Salary:
£27,500 Per Annum (FTE) Pro rata
Hours: 25, Hours flexible Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
Location:
Office based Room 17 Paignton Library and Information Centre, Paignton and various outreach locations in Torbay and wider Devon area including home working when required

Background
Healthwatch Torbay and Engaging Communities Southwest is a not for profit organisation which has grown from the reputation we gained as an award winning Healthwatch and in response to increasing demand for our expertise within Torbay and the wider Southwest Region.
We currently manage the contract for independent Health and Social Care Community Champion Healthwatch Torbay and oversee varies project in the community.
Introduction
Voluntary Sector partners in Torbay have come together to create the Health & Wellbeing Network and have secured funding from Torbay Council's adult social care precept to appoint a Network Co-ordinator.
The Network is managed by the Torbay VCSE Health and Wellbeing Network Steering Group This post is hosted by Engaging Communities Southwest.
The aim of this network is to bring those in the voluntary community and social enterprise sector together to improve the health and wellbeing of Torbay local community to:- support engagement activity
- strengthen collaboration amongst VCSE partners,
- give voice to our local community and VCSE partners,
- share intelligence and good practice
- Act as a single point of contact for the Torbay VCSE Health and Wellbeing Network (THWBVSN)
Key deliverables of the post:
Working closely with the THWBVSN Steering Group, and the wider membership, the postholder will help deliver the priorities for THWBVSN and co-ordinate, develop, strengthen, and support the 200+ members of the Health and Well-being Voluntary Sector Network (the Network) across Torbay.
The post holder will also play a pivotal role in supporting the development of the Paignton Community Hub (PCH), with a view of expanding the delivery of the service.
Responsible for delivery of the following service areas
Planning and development
- Engage with the wider VCSE network membership through various methods including face to face, telephone, online etc
- Coordinate steering group meetings to ensure maximum attendance of the Steering Group, proving full administration support for these meetings
- As agreed with steering group members, run themebased dropin sessions for wider network membership
- Develop a robust mechanism to coordinate potential funding opportunities through the THWBVSN steering group and the wider membership to maximise opportunities and avoid duplication
- Support the strategic development of the Network in line with the statement of purpose and market effectively with the wider VCSE Community
- Oversee and monitor effective and efficient administrative systems for the PCH and the network
- Support the Steering Group to identify social policy learning and options for escalation to appropriate bodies
- Produce regular newsletter/briefing for network members.
- Produce THWBVSN annual report
- Be an ambassador for the THWBVSN and attend external meetings as requested by the steering group
- Maintain and develop key contacts of stakeholders, membership and VCSE partners
- Raise awareness of the PCH through the VSCE network
- Develop the PCH offer and secure additional funding streams to maintain its sustainability
- Work with ECSW Senior management team in the PCH development
Other duties and responsibilities
- Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues, within statutory requirements.
- Carry out any other tasks that may be within the scope of the post
