The Role:As a Leasehold Adviser you can make your own powerful contribution as you work across our five Leasehold teams.

These are the Collection team, the Leasehold Services team, the Accounts, Sales & Acquisitions team, the Capital Service Charge team and the Revenue Service Charge team, and this challenging and stimulating role provides the flexibility to cover a variety of areas during peak times, and offers a wide variety of tasks and fantastic development opportunities.

All the teams cover a number of areas, and your work will include calculating estimated and actual service charges for lessees, ensuring these are reconciled to WCC's systems, and producing the documentation necessary for the issuing of major works bills.

You'll also collect service charge and major works monies, meet specific income targets through the resolution of any disputes that arise, and manage queries from residents and staff on leasehold related matters.

But your work won't stop here - you'll manage accounts-related enquiries from lessees and sales applicants, and identify and reconcile project costs incurred for individual major works schemes using the Council's financial system.

We'll expect you to manage accounts by transferring balances, refunding credits, keeping notes of every contact and scanning all communications to the property file, and receive, bank and account for all monies relating to fees, service and major works charges.

It goes without saying that you'll adhere to the highest standards of customer care at all times, and always act in a professional and courteous manner.

With excellent standards of literacy and numeracy, and good written and verbal communications skills, you'll be adept at building relationships with customers, and capable of carrying out accurate work at a fast pace.

With the ability to inspire enthusiasm and with a highly people-focused attitude to everything you do, you'll have the skills to plan, organise and prioritise your tasks, and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.

With good practical knowledge of IT and the Microsoft Office suite of software, you'll also be dedicated to the principles of equality and diversity, and ready to help us as we work to create an inclusive city that celebrates our vibrant communities, and where residents, workers and visitors feel welcome and safe.
