Logistics Administrator at Valeport Ltd.
Valeport are a unique, innovative Company, manufacturing oceanographic measuring equipment from our base on the banks of the River Dart in Totnes.
Our products are used and trusted across a range of industries from academia, to oil and gas exploration and a host of research projects.
Reports to:
Logistics and Customs Coordinator, Valeport Limited, 20, St. Peter's Quay, Totnes. TQ9 5EW.
As a Logistics Administrator, you will be:
- Compiling documentation to despatch goods across the globe.
- Communicating with clients and maintaining our outstanding customer service relationships.
- Liaising with our service providers DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT and a host of freight forwarders.
- Dealing with Imports and Exports (Air, Road, Sea).
- Monitoring and being proactive in the progress of shipments, both domestic and international.
As a Logistics Administrator, you will need:
- Ideally a strong background in office-based logistics and /or customer services within a commercial environment with confidence in all aspects of administration.
- Demonstrable experience of operating and adapting to a CRM system with workable knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Education to a minimum of GSCE level in English and Maths with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dynamic, proactive approach to the workload.
- Good planning skills with the ability to work to critical timelines.
- A willingness to undergo training and be adaptable to fulfil all of the roles within the department when needed.

Package for a Logistics Administrator:
