About the role:
The governors of this large Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding dynamic and inspirational teacher to lead in the Humanities (History, Geography and RE) across all phases.
King's Wood staff are committed to raising standards in all areas and the successful applicant will be a teacher who genuinely believes in challenging every child to be the best that they can be.
You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a caring committed team and be willing to become involved in the overall life and development of the school.
The post includes a full-time teaching commitment. All teachers have 0.1 PPA release time and additional leadership release will also be provided.

About you:
The successful applicant will:
- Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills or the willingness to develop them
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner
- Be driven to attain high standards for all pupils
- Have a thorough understanding of best practice in the history, geography and RE
- Have a thorough of understanding of effective assessment for learning
