The purpose of the
Quality Manageris to ensure the company's processes operate consistently using best practice Quality Management systems.

This should be carried out in-line with the values of the company's group strategy in encouragingcontinuous improvement of Quality and Service for both internal departments and customers.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Lead and maintain the quality business strategy in all capacities of Internal, External, Supplier & Compliance frameworks toward set objectives and targets
  • Chair regular quality meetings to report business quality performance and trends along with relevant action plans
  • Prepare necessary reports for review by customers, internal departments and senior management
  • Maintain and communicate Quality Assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards to safeguard product safety
  • Work with functional departments to maintain and improve quality processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Manage the Quality department team directly with training, development, and organisation
  • Ensure customers receive products consistently to the highest standard of quality possible
  • Identifying improvements and key objectives for the organisation to support customers expected quality levels
  • Support customer site support visits
  • Evaluate testing systems and prioritise projects for improving systems, methods, and processes consistent with the business quality standards
  • Possess responsibility and accountability for all Quality, guaranteeing compliance of standards for products and processes
  • Support auditing and evaluation of received products when required
  • Lead internal quality audits to assess compliance with QMS requirements

Required experience, qualifications and characteristics.

  • Familiar with goods inward inspection of finished products/components
  • Knowledge of quality management and inspection systems
  • Proven track record of managing and maintaining Quality Assurance and external accreditations
  • Experience of working within a multidiscipline team
  • Experience of initiating improvements within a business and achieving "buy in" from managers & staff
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

Desirable Attributes

  • Precision Aerospace definition and manufacturing process knowledge preferred
  • Experience of ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Experience of WAER (Warehouse Management Systems)
