About the role:


You will:


  • Act as the workstream lead for service transitions, ensuring all relevant criteria are agreed upon, managed, and successfully delivered before live implementation.
  • Matrix manage transition workstream teams, coordinating and monitoring resources and actions as necessary.
  • Develop and agree on transition acceptance criteria, governing their delivery and managing associated risks.
  • Establish and operate transition governance controls to identify, manage areas of shortfall or risk, and work toward mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Support and Service Delivery teams to develop and refine transition processes, embedding them into methodologies.
  • Serve as the Service Management lead for new services during their warranty period, bridging the gap between project and runstate stages.
  • Own the delivery of knowledge transfer activities, ensuring that operational teams have the necessary knowledge for new services.
  • Work with project teams to ensure key operational teams are equipped with the essential skills, knowledge, tools, and documentation for supporting new or changed services.
  • Continuously improve Service Transition processes and ensure these improvements are integrated into daytoday activities.
  • Provide support to other Transition teams.

About you:


  • Extensive experience of working in Service Transition or Operations (minimum 5 years).
  • Formal ITIL v2/v3/v4 qualifications in an appropriate Service Transition area.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Selfmotivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively, even in the face of process and project ambiguity.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within an ITIL Service Management framework.
  • Experience in managing service transitions/projects following recognised project methodologies (e.g., Agile/Waterfall).
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering business change, including matrix management of project/workstream teams.
  • Previous exposure to service readiness, introduction, or transition management roles.
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent customer servicefocused approach.
  • Understanding of new technologies and their support issues, especially Cloudbased solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including initiative, communication, negotiation, influencing, and teamwork.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing one's workload against external deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
