**ION Platform Specialist
London 3 days remote 2

12 months with likley extension**
Project:
Responsible For:

Implement business changes, upgrades to the ION Marketview platform including advanced bond pricing
Continuous optimisation of ION topology including tuning to maintain a high performance platform
Hands on configuration, integration and testing of ION Marketview components
Create, update documentation and provide demos to the traders, business managers and COOs
Coordinate and organise changes with external vendors, markets, ECNs and infrastructure teams
Ability to run projects end to end without supervision

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (_in order of importance_)

Good business knowledge on Rates and Credit products and the markets they are traded on and experience of the full product/trade life cycle
Proven hands on experience of ION Marketview platform. Detailed knowledge of MMI.NET (master/slave, multi process, XAML RFQ, RFQ Designer), D2C and D2D connectivity gateways, TOMS, PXE, Curvebuilder, Refdata, VMO, VMQ, Trade Server, STP Server, SnapshotManager
Proficiency in platform automation tools such as ION DPLAYER/Shell or Auto Confx and keen interest in automation
Performance and RTD monitoring using ION Perfmeter
Good understanding of ION routing infrastructure, connections and protocols and experience on platform reengineering, tuning and failover setup
Considerable experience in Topology optimisation, Router tuning and platform resiliency
Solid Linux experience including shell and python scripting (or PERL)
Knowledge and experience on using source controls systems, build tools (maven or gradle) automated way of building and deployment of ION Platform components
Strong troubleshooting skills in a complex electronic trading environment such as static data, pricing, RFQ life cycle, trade capture etc
Automate, build productivity improvement tools to industrialise development on highly advanced inhouse eTrading platform
Experience of running ION platforms in COLO

Ability to multitask several ongoing issues. This involves the ability to assess priority and make appropriate decisions quickly and effectively.
Effective interpersonal skills and relationshipbuilding skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Selfmotivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment.
