Our client has an £8 Billion turnover, they employ 33,000 staff, they are operational in 22 countries around the globe and they are independently owned.

They are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Prototype Process & Quality Technician to join theirorganisation based in Newton Aycliffe.


THE ROLE
To assure Prototype Product compliance by;

  • Developing process methodology for in house manufacture in line with PD Engineering process.
  • Supporting and monitoring the Prototype build phases.
  • Defining sub supplier controls and performance monitoring of batches submissions.
  • Develop corrective actions plans through use of performance monitoring of product PIST and engineering specification during build phase.
  • Communicating product status with internal and external customers to maintain product specification and /or develop concession.
  • Collation of build phase learning that must be considered for follow on product and process development production phases.
  • Evaluate process method and develop fabrication method suitable for Proto build phase whilst maintain Project defined process controls.
  • Design and develop tooling for fabrication process.
  • Supporting and monitoring the Prototype build phases.
  • Establishing Supplier controls and monitoring performance.
  • Definition and implementation of process control plans, inprocess gauging and quality gateways.
  • Reporting and monitoring finished product quality performance including associated improvement plans.
  • Preparation and submission of Customer quality documentation

THE PERSON

  • Recognised manufacturing/engineering qualification (HNC)
  • Quality assurance experience (CQI)
  • CMM experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Forming, Assembly and Welding experience
