We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic
Warehouse Assistant to be join our team at
Rochester Jewson JPS (ME2 2LS)

Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) is a brand within Saint-Gobain which specialises in providing building material solutions for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities.

You will use your dedication and enthusiasm to undertake a multi-skilled role covering the warehouse, trade counter, yard and occasional driver duties.

Most of your time will be spent in the warehouse to manage incoming and outgoing deliveries and keeping a close eye on stock levels.

It is essential all applicants have a full UK Driving License as you may be required to assist with deliveries.

Is this role right for me?

This role has a strong focus on stock management, as well as supporting in other areas of the branch, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with their team and customers and enjoys an active and varied role.

The person we're looking for will:

Have a flexible approach to work; happy to work in various departments within the branch
Have experience within the construction/building materials industry (although not essential)
Be a great team player; ready to support colleagues and customers when needed
Be a confident communicator, both over the phone and in branch
Have previous forklift experience (training/refresher can be provided)
Have a full clean driving license

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7:30 - 4:30 and Friday 7:30 - 4:00 (No weekend work)

What will I be doing?

Your day to day duties will be to:

Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
Pick items to fulfil customer orders
Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift where needed
Check incoming stock deliveries and put away in appropriate area
Getting to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions
Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone)
Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
Deliver a wide variety of products to our customers using a 3.5T Transit Van
Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
