Pertemps Crawley are working alongside a leading supplier in Burgess Hill, looking for an organised, proactive Logistics Co-Ordinator to join their supportive, growing team.

In a fast-paced environment, the Logistics Co-Ordinator is responsible for ensuringall processed orders meet required documentation and shipping standards and are booked and delivered within set timescales.


The Role:


  • Booking appropriate couriers for required deliveries
  • Assess current and upcoming delivery schedules to and plan efficient routes
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team to understand appropriate packing specifications (based on client request, temperature requirements, weight, quantity)
  • Work with Documentation team to communicate despatch/delivery status and ensure documentational compliance
  • Track shipments and ensure any delays are proactively communicated
  • Store all shipment PODs and relevant information on the system
  • Perform Quality checks on product as required
  • Ensure that day to day courier driver relationships are maintained and built upon
  • Ensure we use the most appropriate couriers based on both performance and price
  • Monthly courier cost review with line manager to identify patterns & trends, building towards annual courier tenders
  • Work with documentation team to ensure stock is accurately recorded, regularly checked and proactively managed
  • Ensure delivered items are ready for invoicing

  • Proactive with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Organised and with high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, management and suppliers
  • Good level of spoken/written English
Full-time office-based role, working
Monday to Friday 9-5 and offering a
salary of up to £27,000dependent on relevant experience.
