Reporting into the Interim Director of Strategy and Planning, the role will be responsible for leading research and insight projects aimed at providing holistic views of our business performance through data analysis and extracting insights to influence business change and planning.


Key Achievements & Responsibilities

  • Acting as a business partner to key stakeholders across RICS, this role has the responsibility to:
  • Develop methods of extracting both quantitative and qualitative data generated through day-to-day business activities
  • Identify insight requirements by business area and devise a strategy for collecting additional data
  • Arrange and oversee any external surveying and research activities necessary as identified as part of research requirements for your projects
  • Carry out analysis from internal and external quantitative and qualitative data sources and deliver robust actionable insights and recommendations. Identify the frequency and format for producing and delivering key insights to stakeholders
Expected outcomes

  • Robust insights created through a holistic analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data to identify and understand key drivers of performance as well as opportunities and risks to be used by the business to support strategy and decision making. Senior specialists are expected to run their own research projects and deliver the insights and recommendations through reports and presentations.

Experience Required

  • Practical experience with data collection and management, using data to facilitate business decisions
  • Experience in time and project management
  • Critical thinker with an inquisitive and analytical mind, hungry to seek out new information and understand the reasons behind headline numbers
  • Skilled at developing working relationships in a matrix organisation with demonstratable success in presenting to and management of senior level stakeholders. Commercial acumen and financially astute, ideally with direct experience of working in a Sales team environment and/or a Product Development team
  • Experience working in a global organization, handling cultural differences and working effectively with geographically dispersed teams
  • Research skills with the ability to search for, find, collect, analyze, interpret and evaluate information relevant to the identified business objective or activity
  • Experience with overseeing and/or conducting research projects or surveys to extract desired knowledge and metrics including the facilitation of workshops or focus groups.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of turning research and insight into practical change
  • Desireble ability to use PowerBI and SQL for data analysis and dashboard creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and coordinating across teams
Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or Research desirable.
