Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is a quadruple-accredited, world-ranked management school, consistently among the UK's top 20.

The service the LUMS Careers Team provides is central to the student experience and this role will be a crucial part of our service.


You will lead a team of high performing careers professionals who design, deliver and assess innovative work-related learning including student projects, placement years and internships.

You will also coordinate our team wide approach to employer engagement and oversee the LUMS Leaders in Residence Programme.


You will have experience of team management in a careers/talent development/recruitment/HR setting including achieving results alongside colleagues that you do not line manage.

You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload.

The ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders is essential as you will engage with employers and work closely with departmental colleagues to ensure a bespoke approach to student development.


Ideally educated to degree level, with a relevant postgraduate qualification or extensive relevant experience, you will have an innovative, engaging and effective professional approach.

Your previous experience will have equipped you for adapting flexibly to this role and you will be someone who thrives on change and seeks new challenges.
