Salary up to £26,500 per annum depending on qualification and experience

A private day nursery in Hitchin, SG5 are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to assist in leading an enthusiastic and passionate team.

The nursery is easy to commute from Ickleford, Westmill, Charlton and immediate surrounding areas.

Responsibilities of a Nursery Room Leader includes:

Working closely with the Nursery Manager to manage and organise the room.
Ensure that all children attending the nursery are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Supporting the staff in the room
Planning appropriately for children using the EYFS framework
Maintaining accurate and effective children's records
Working in partnership with parents/carers
Following and understanding safeguarding procedures and ensuring that children are kept safe

The ideal applicant for the Nursery Room Leader position:

Must be at least Level 3 qualified
Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted
An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
Experience of managing/supervising staff
Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside,
Managing and maintaining administration requirements
Have a clear DBS, have 2 satisfactory references
