About the Role:


In this role, working collaboratively with the Planning team, Manufacturing Production Unit and supporting departments you will be required to deliver a quality, timely, optimised stable production plan in line with customer requirements and key operational targets to support the delivery of our strategic vision of
Caring for People as a Trusted Partner.

Key Responsibilities


Responsible for providing expertise in planning processes, and SAP/APO functionality, to enable valid production plans to be created, maintained, and delivered.


  • Monthly collaboration with the global Supply Planners to agree major Project, Product and Demand assumptions for the current year +1 year time horizon.
  • Weekly development and maintenance of a valid SKUlevel, rolling 3month, Site Production Plan using SAP MPS and APO PPDS system functionality in combinations with Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP).
  • Weekly "handover" the shortterm horizon part of the plan (e.g. first 24 weeks) to Shop Floor Schedulers for detailed scheduling/optimization followed by execution and ontime delivery under the responsibility of the Operations Teams.
  • Lead weekly and monthly Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP) to continuously validate available capacity vs. required capacity and to ensure that the Site Supply Plan and the Site Production Plan are always valid.
  • Weekly resolution of capacity under and overloads identified through the CRP process by agreeing capacity changes with the Operations teams, or by agreeing changes to the planned production with the customer service representative for the Site.
  • Collaborate with the customer service representative (e.g. SNP in S.E.E. cluster) as part of the Sales and Operations Execution process, for the management of shortterm plan changes. Provide feasibility assessments for changes to the Production Plan.
  • Daily review of customer demand and projected supply vs. Production Plan assumptions to continuously maintain a valid production plan in SAP/APO.
  • Understand the Site, and the production processes, to be able to identify the key/bottleneck resources for CRP.
  • Analyze Site OTIF (for make to order products) and Stock outs/Stock adherence (for make to stock products) KPI results. Lead Site teams to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions so that target performance levels are consistently achieved.
  • Measure Production Plan achievement and Production plan stability through the MRP2 process indicators. Use root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and lead resolution of the issues so that target
