Description

The successful Construction Trainer and Assessor will have up-to-date commercial experience in a construction environment and can demonstrate their industry expertise.


Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills are essential; the role requires you to deal with internal and external customers so you will need to be a consummate professional at all times.


You will work with a range of construction employers and support them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviour of their learners and apprentices so that they can achieve their career goals and aspirations.


The successful applicant must hold a full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle for business use is essential.


The Role


The role of the Construction Trainer and Assessor is to design and deliver programmes of learning that are inspirational and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected of an individual to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment.


This will include adapting programmes of teaching and learning to meet the needs of the learner and employer and include strategies to overcome barriers that prevent learners from reaching their potential.


You will work with other departments to review the effectiveness of teaching, learning and assessment activities to ensure that progress is maintained and there are good outcomes for learners.

A robust approach to quality assurance and improvement is expected that is backed up with sound and objective decisions.

Part-time hours may be considered.


Personal Skills

  • Extensive experience in the construction industry within trowel occupations
  • Minimum 5 years site expertise within trowel occupations
  • An assessing qualification (A1 or D32/D33) and teaching qualification is highly desirable
  • Computer literate, in particular Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Flexible approach and be willing to work outside of normal hours

Salary:
£31,050.00-£32,700.00 per year
