Description

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.

You will be responsible for accurately dispensing prescription medications, counseling patients on proper medication use, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

What you'll be doing day to day
Alongside providing accurate health advice through quality conversations with our patients, you will play a pivotal role in running the dispensary, including:

Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
Excellent communication with customers on the status of their prescriptions

What you'll need to have

You will need to have an NVQ2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services and a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent.

Previous experience working as a dispenser is also essential.

If you are interested in further developing your professional career, we can support you towards achieving both competency and knowledge based NVQ Level 3 (QCF) qualification in Pharmacy Services to become eligible to register with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician.

This could then lead to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.

As you continue to develop your healthcare knowledge through these qualifications and roles, your pay and benefits will reflect this.

Salary:
£10.00-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
