Head of Finance Integration and Change - Yorkshire, North West ideally but rest of UK considered - ARDPN846169

Whilst this is a home based opportunity, ideally we are looking for someone in the Yorkshire area as there will be meetings in the Knaresborough and Leeds offices perhaps every fortnight. If you are further afield but happy to travel to the areaas required, do not hesitate to apply.

Purpose of the Role
This exciting home based opportunity has arisen to join our Financial Accounting team. This role will play a key part in delivering the finance integration of acquired businesses and other finance projects.


What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.


  • Responsible for delivering the change agenda for Finance.
  • Prioritising change activity within the department and ensure resources are managed effectively and efficiently to deliver the change portfolio.
  • Coordinate all finance integration projects.
  • Accountable for the finance integration service delivery model, to align financial controls and finance reporting with standard policy, process and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the M&A Team, Payroll, Treasury and Finance teams to ensure smooth integration.
  • Coordinate preand postacquisition finance activity to ensure smooth financial integration of newly acquired businesses.
  • Provide a single point of communication to the wider Finance Team on financial integration activity.
  • Deliver the necessary processes and controls to onboard acquisitions into the businessasusual environment.
  • Build strategic relationships with stakeholders and teams across Ardonagh.
  • Manage and motivate your team to drive a high performance culture where colleagues feel highly motivated, valued and continuously developed in role.
  • Fulfil your responsibilities in line with agreed processes to achieve agreed objectives, and in doing so, ensure compliance with the client and insurer money rules within the FCA Handbook.

Who we are looking for


This is an opportunity for a talented, dynamic individual with significant hands-on experience leading change, finance integration and working in a financial control environment.


We are looking for someone has:

  • The ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders within finance and the wider business
  • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills
  • Influential, can deliver workable solutions to problems and gain buy in from stakeholders to implement change
  • Leadership skills, working with a multidiscipline team, managing and training
  • Initiative, proactivity, resourcefulness, attention to detail and can embrace change positively
  • Strength to work under pressure and learn and work with new processes and systems
  • Analytical, flexible, assertive and quick to learn.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent or QBE
  • MS Excel to an advanced level
  • Experience of integration or compiling financial reports from incomplete records
  • Broad range of general accounting functions including business and financial reporting; a good understanding of insurance broking and systems would also be beneficial
