To deliver and lead on the Prince's Trust Teams Programme
To act as personal tutor
Main Duties
- To lead on the development of theTeam Programme.
- Through development of a network of external partners, including schools, Job Centre Plus, local authority, youth clubs etc., recruit young people to the programme.
- Work in partnership with external partners to coordinate and deliver the Teams Programme three times per year.
- To deliver either an award or certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills
- To provide an outstanding experience that provides students with positive progression options either on to further education or training at Strode College, or into employment/volunteering.
- To inspire, motivate and coach young people to develop the confidence and aspiration to be successful on the programme.
- To ensure students receive the necessary support, to remove barriers from participating and being successful on the programme.
- To manage and coordinate the work of the course team, liaising with various internal and external bodies and carrying out associated duties.
- To be responsible for all aspects of the delivery: organisation, preparation, assessment and administration involved, including attendance on the week residential activities as appropriate.
- To act as personal tutor, be responsible for preparation, delivery and administration of appropriate group and onetoone tutorials, providing general advice on a range of issues including monitoring of student progress, liaison with parents/carers, completion of ILP's (Individual Learning Plan), attendance and welfare and referring to other services if required.
- To keep registers and records and provide other documentation as requested.
- To participate in staff development and training as well as the Staff Review and Development scheme. Attend any relevant Prince's Trust training.
- To assist with the marketing, development and evaluation of Prince's trust programmes, course and all other College courses and course materials as required.
- To take part in interviewing and student recruitment events, as required.
- Maintaining and updating student records and undertaking training via College systems.
- To attend appropriate Directorate and College meetings as requested.
- To comply with the College's policies and procedures including Health and Safety Legislation, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, Prevent and Equality and Diversity.
- To comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"). It is the responsibility of individual staff members to protect data and to take all reasonable steps to ensure data are kept securely.
- To operate within the College's inclusive learning ethos and to work constructively with any learning support provision.
- To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Always observe health and safety procedures and work safely.
- To be responsible for your own continuing selfdevelopment, undertaking training as appropriate to the working environment and developments in your role and to participate in annual appraisal and review processes.
- Always adhere to the Staff Professional Code of Conduct as a representative of the College and to comply with all college policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Principal or your manager, which are commensurate with the level of your post, to meet the changing needs and demands of the College.
