Description
We Do Group are delighted to be supporting an SME design business in London, recruiting an Interim Group Financial Controller to oversee the day to day running of the Finance team while the permanent hire is being recruited.
Reporting into the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for the business-unit level reporting of both the UK & US businesses, as well as the group consolidation of 14 companies across 5 regions, working with the local finance teams in the remainingcountries.
Managing a team of 2 to support through all transactional tasks, this is a hands-on role that offers a blend of reporting & business partnering to support senior stakeholders within the business.
Duration: 4-6 months
Rate:
£400 - £500 per day (inside IR35)
The Role
- Working with the UK and International finance teams to produce and finalise monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Continually improve the current reporting pack and produce monthly consolidated management accounts
- Help with regulatory compliance of US entity and produce financial reporting (until a local Finance team is recruited)
- Act as a finance business partner to the UK and International operational management teams
- Ownership of cash flow and billing forecasting, and support Group Finance Director in annual budgeting process
- Work with and challenge project owners to ensure the integrity of forecasted numbers
- Produce project P&L's and highlight good / bad performance of projects
- Reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Ownership and continual development of finance systems
- Support Group Finance Director on commercial & strategic decision making for the business
- Adhoc reporting & analysis as required
- Managing all aspects of tax compliance, including; VAT, PAYE/NI & corporation tax
- Production of group statutory accounts
- Work with auditors as first point of contact for any queries on group audit
Your Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA / CIMA)
- Effective communicator written and verbal
- Strong blend of internal/external reporting skillsets
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
