Description
We are an aspiring engineering company based in Nottingham that specialises in precision engineering, high-quality laser cutting, forming and project fabrications.
With ambitious strategic growth plans, Innovation Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to assist our Finance Manager on a full time basis.
Essential Duties:
- Daily use of Xero Accounting package (or experience of similar)
- Training on Sigma MRP system provided
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Daily posting of bank transactions
- Preparing monthly customer statements of account
- Credit control management
- Inputting company credit card and fuel card expenditure and reconciling
- Posting month end journals (depreciation, prepayments, accruals)
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Detailed monthly analysis of profit and loss accounts
- Weekly reporting of sales, debtors and creditors to Managing Director
- Ensuring Company ISO procedures are followed for all aspects of accounts work followed
- Support and assist Finance Manager as required
Essential Skills:
- AAT qualified (or working towards) desirable but not essential
- Experience in a similar role
- Accuracy in entering numbers
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Confident
- Selfmotivated
- Proactive
- Able to work on their own initiative
This is a full time position of 39 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
