One of the fastest developing technologies in the automotive sector is that of the electric propulsion system, and particularly the area of charging.

The Charging Group at JLR is expanding it's capability and bringing in-house some of the key software components, in order to stay ahead of the competition, offering the highest availability of vehicle charging infrastructure support.

The Group Product Owner - Charging Systems V&V role sits within the Charging System Delivery Group.

The role acts as the single point of contact for the Vehicle Programme Squads in the Powertrain Domain, responsible for working closely with validation and verification engineering team, leading the Charging Systems V&V Technical Project Managers.

What you'll need

This role is responsible for ensuring that all programmes have accurate and up-to-date design verification plans (DVP) for the end-to-end charging systems.

This includes base software testing, right the way up to vehicle level testing and compatibility with third party electric vehicle charging equipment throughout the whole life cycle of the vehicles.

You will deliver projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outputs to support the achievement of strategic business objectives for the Charging Systems V&V Group.

You will take ownership of key strategic projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management, ensuring quality, cost and timescales are prioritised as appropriate.

You will plan for and manage project risks, issues and dependencies to maximise likelihood of project success, escalating upwards where necessary.

You will take own the management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management.

Knowledge, skills & experience
Essential

Knowledge of software and systems verification using rigs and simulations
Experience of working in an Agile Project Management environment
Knowledge of electric propulsion systems
