Futures Recruitment Services are recruiting for an Office Manager to join our client's team based in Burgess Hill.

We are looking for someone to take responsibility for overseeing the smooth running of Office Services across the College campus where yourprofessionalism, initiative, and office skills will drive efficiency and improvement.


You will have plenty of room to be creative and support management with the roll-out of new practices as well as keeping consistency across the Business Support Team.

Reporting to the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a professionaland welcoming reception for all students, parents, and visitors and that health and safety and safeguarding processes are in place.


You will line-manage a strong team of Business Support Assistants, and contribute to long-term resource planning, appraisal, and performance management.

As well as working as part of the wider Business Team, is a key element to this role of working autonomouslyand you need to be comfortable working independently and making decisions.

This position will suit you if you have good interpersonal skills and office management experience. You need to be self-directed and have organizational and problem-solving skills.


Pay:
£13.77 per hour


Working Hours - Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm.

Applicants should have a solid understanding of the workings of the school office as a key element of the role is providing specialist advice and support on all areas of school administration to our wider staff teams, including Admissions, Induction, Budgets,Health and Safety & Policy.

You will need to have a flexible approach to your job role, a friendly and open manner.

Desired experience and skills for the Office Manager role:

  • Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification (CSBM)
  • Experience in data management in a school environment
  • Experience working in a school office environment
  • Experience in managing a team
  • An understanding of relevant school policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues effectively
