Description

We currently have a vacancy for a fitter on nightshift reporting to the nightshift production supervisor.

The role is responsible for the development, implementation, support and continuous improvement of the process used to manufacture aerospace components

Duties:

Complete de burring and metal finishing.
Work to close tolerances and precision fitting.
Work with different materials including aluminium, inco, titanium, wasp alloy and stainless steel.
Raise paperwork, Pick and Assemble finish components under your own supervision.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Operating balancer.
Operate Part Marker.

Person Specification:

De burring tool selection
Knowledge of press and insertion tools
Working and adhering to the 5's housekeeping procedures
Working safely using the appropriate PPE
Operating Fork Lift Trucks (Preferable) safely and be observant within all manufacturing areas

Qualifications and Experience:

Time served Mechanical Engineer.
Worked within aerospace or automotive (desirable)
Deburring
FLT experience or licence (desirable)

Initial training on day shift up to 3 months may be required to achieve the desired skill sets.

The hours of work on day shift are pm Monday-Thursday and am friday.

The nightshift hours of work are 7.30pm - 7.00am Monday to Wednesday and on a Thursday.

When you have completed your training and moved on to nightshift you will also be paid a nightshift allowance
