We are a modern and friendly accountancy firm in Central London and are looking to take on Payroll Assistants. We provide expert accounting for companies, freelancers & contractors in London.Working within a payroll team, you will be required to process weekly and monthly payrolls for a broad range of clients.
You will be provided training and will be part of a busy dynamic team.Your new role
This is a full time (9:30am - 6pm) role, on a permanent basis.
Due to growth within the business, we are looking to recruit new payroll assistants to work in the payroll services department.
As a Payroll Assistant, you will be a member of the Payroll team working to assist in contributing to the delivery of weekly and monthly payroll from start to finish.
Key tasks of the role will include:
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll for external clients from start to finish.
- Amending payslips with any incorrect hours or pay rates and ensuring all figures are correct.
- Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
- Setting up new starters and update payroll records as appropriate.
- Inputting and processing of all relevant data required for the payroll.
- Calculate and process SSP, Maternity and Paternity pay.
- Preparing reports of monthly fees and compiling summaries of earnings, taxes and deductions.
- Ensuring all HMRC filings are done accurately and on time using both Sage and Payroll Manager software
- Running payroll reports.
- Issuing tax forms (P60's and P45's) at the end of the tax year and when staff leave employment.
- Ensuring all relevant statutory requirements and HMRC deadlines are met.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to secure this opportunity you will need:
- Available for immediate start.
- Ideally good knowledge of payroll processes and software's (Sage, Moneysoft).
- Previous payroll experience (not essential as full training will be provided).
- A proactive team player who is willing to go the extra mile for their colleagues.
- Good communications skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Good computer skills word, excel, outlook.
