Pub & Dining encapsulates the relaxed atmosphere of a suburban local pub.

The Old White Beare is a Grade II listed building in the leafy suburb of Norwood Green, Halifax. The building dates back to 1533.

The original building burnt down and was rebuilt using timbers from the Dutch vessel Old White Beare (hence the name).

The ancient snug here is surely one of the best pub rooms to be found anywhere. With its high-backed seats, old stone fireplace and low-beamed ceiling, divided-off by match-board partitions it is a little gem.

The old brewhouse, that was extended onto the property, has now been converted into a high vaulted ceiling dining space.

It is a true destination pub whilst also serving its immediate local community as a hub and meeting place.

The gardens with their southerly aspect ensure our guests can enjoy long summer nights and with no less than 4 open hearths and log burners to ensure warm and cosy winter nights.
