Purpose of Position


To work in the community to support clients and carers, mentoring and ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager to ensure that effective induction, supervision and assessment of staff is carried out
  • Ensure that all staff have the necessary training, qualifications and skills to undertake the tasks required

Duties

  • To support with facilitating changeover of carers when a carer needs to go on their break. This includes taking the replacement carer to the package and overseeing a thorough handover
  • To ensure carers in the field have sufficient stock of PPE
  • To step in as a Live in carer in emergency situations, until cover is sourced
  • To support with an out of hours telephone service every other weekend

Travel


The position is field based however there will be times where you will need to come into the office to restock on gloves and other PPE items, as well as updating paperwork.

If no visits have been planned for a particular day, you can discuss with your line manager whether you come into the office that day or work from home.

There will be an element of travel required; this will include but is not limited to:


  • Changeover of carers for packages of care
  • Delivery of stock i.e. gloves and aprons
  • Carrying out spot checks/supervisions for carers
  • Covering packages in emergencies
  • Agreed travel/fuel expenses will be agreed within your contract of employment

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
