Our client who has been established for 20 years plus has an excellent career opportunity for someone with 3 years of solid commercial work experience.

An interest in the fine food /artisan food & drinks sector would be a benefit.

This is a key role for the buying and orders team, and reports to the director, the company has a solid track record of some 20 years and is the market leader in the sector.

Proven work record in stock control / purchasing or stock control / orders assistant or you have been involved in the supply chain.

And or also have worked in a buying team.

Solid Word / Outlook skills:
Strong levels of numeracy

You need strong verbal and written communication skills

Confident Excel ad IT skills to ensure the information on stock levels is always updated.

Solid Word & Outlook experience

Hours 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, free parking on site, nice offices with a semi hybrid work life so some days can be remote at home.

Other duties:
Setting up and maintaining stock and supplier records

Ordering products based on rates of sales and min/max quantities to maintain optimum levels

Placing orders to ensure maximum benefit taken from special terms available

Monitoring daily out-of-stock information and reporting to all stakeholders accordingly.

Following up on non-delivered supplier purchase orders and back orders

Investigating stock discrepancies and processing adjustments as necessary

Placing orders, checking stock levels, and ensuring excellent customer services to the clients.
