Description
Owing to 3 recently identified Deanery Gaps, we are seeking to employ 3 Paediatric Clinical Fellows for 6 months (until March '24)

The post will be based in acute Paediatrics with Neonatology at West Middlesex Hospital.

In all work, the post-holder will be working alongside London Deanery trainees from general practice and paediatrics on a combined rota, with the same access to educational opportunities, including the daily teaching sessions and the simulation sessions.

The Special Care Baby Unit is based within the Queen Mary Maternity and has 16 cots, 2 of which are open cots designated for Intensive Care.

Infants under 1kg or 30 weeks gestation are stabilised prior to transfer to the perinatal unit within the North-West London Network.

There is a commitment to teaching and learning at all levels with an active weekly teaching programme.

The posts cover all paediatric inpatient and new-born areas of clinical care, working with the existing paediatric team.

They are ideally suited to trainees who want to gain clinical skills in a general hospital setting of undifferentiated presentations.

The combined rota gives clinical experience in management of general paediatric patients and neonatology, including stabilisation of critically ill children and new-borns prior to transfer to other tertiary units for on-going care.

The post would be suitable for a clinician who has 2+ years of paediatric experience (with at least 6 months of neonatal experience).
