CC Housing Management provide supported housing accommodation for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, who require intensive support in managing and maintaining a tenancy.

Our residents may have complex and additional support needs to include but not limited to those with addictions, mental health issues, learning difficulties and offending behaviour.

Creating Change recognises that people who require specialist support may encounter difficulty renting accommodation from the wider housing market, and our goal is to offer support in order for individuals to gain the skills necessary with an aim to be in a position where they can sustain their own tenancy independently.


Main Tasks

Housing Management Tasks:


  • Interviewing tenants and giving advice on tenantlandlord relationships, ensuring all applicants have the necessary paperwork completed.
  • Report tenant health issues (relapse, distressed or changed behaviours) with their appropriate teams and monitoring Housing Officer followup.
  • Inspecting properties and ensuring Housing Officers regularly visit all allocated tenants.
  • Managing antisocial behaviours, collecting information, and reporting ongoing behaviours in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting breaches of tenancy and leasehold agreements, which could culminate in carrying out evictions.
  • Preparing evidence for Notice to Quit notices for escalation to the Supported Housing Manager.
  • Dealing with abandoned tenancies, squatters and unauthorised occupiers.
  • Liaising with tenant groups, local authority strategic partners, other support and welfare organisations, including social workers and Community Psychiatric Nurses.
  • Encouraging and supporting tenants' and residents' groups and attending meetings as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports. Report writing.
  • Attending meetings with external agencies to encourage referrals, safe transition for tenants, ongoing successful tenancies.

Staff and Team working

  • Work within a team, supporting colleagues and attending team meetings, recording and sharing information appropriately and confidentially.
  • To assist the Supported Housing Manager to achieve service objectives and assist in the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures.
  • Keep up to date with clients' issues relevant to housing & support, welfare benefits and other relevant legislation.
  • To undertake all core training required for this post and other training and professional development activities as required, including full induction programme.
  • Undertake other delegated tasks and responsibilities that fall within your capabilities.
  • To work closely with all support workers to ensure they adhere to CCHM current values, policies & procedures.

Managing Services

  • To assist the Supported Housing Manager to ensure the service is running to the optimal capacity.
  • To participate in devising productive staff rotas in conjunction with the Supported Housing Manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels for support workers are in place for a safe working environment.
  • To be responsible for and actively assisting all Housing Officers with their key responsibilities with clients' individual needs.
  • To supervise the productive use of time, overseeing Supported Housing Officers' daily duties.
  • To assist the manager in effectively managing voids as and when required.
  • To be jointly responsible, with the Supported Housing Manager, and all staff, in relation to all Health and Safety matters, ensuring at all times the service is compliant with Fire regulations and all Health and Safety workplace legislation and procedures detailed in our Health & Safety Policy.
