A growing company offering specialist services offers hybrid working to a qualified or qualified by experience internal auditor with financial services experience (2 days a week in Swindon)
Your new role
Supporting the Head of Audit, you will be instrumental in the development of a new in-house Internal Audit function, developing audit templates and policies and promoting and embedding Internal Audit within the business as a positive addition to the centralfunctions.
You will be delivering a first-class Internal Audit service across the business and be responsible for the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects as maybe required from time to time.
- Supporting continuous development of the internal audit function including review and input to the internal audit manual and procedures
- Working with and leading thirdparty cosource auditors as may be required from time to time
- Communicating insightful results to internal stakeholders, to ensure outputs are understood, and appropriate actions are agreed
- Following up internal audit recommendations to ensure agreed actions have been adequately addressed
- Develop a good rapport and solid business relationships with stakeholders to ensure understanding and acceptance of internal audit requirements, approach and reporting methods
What you'll need to succeed
- Professional internal audit or accountancy qualification (e.g., CMIIA, ACCA, CIMA) or significant experience in a financial services internal audit position
- Appreciation of sound risk management, governance and control practices
- Ideally you will have experience working within a regulated Financial Services environment
- Strong interpersonal/ communication and relationship building skills
