    About this Role

    A superb opportunity for an ambitious Construction Site Manager to work on a major new build research and development facility with office space near Basingstoke, Hampshire.

    You will be responsible for managing all site-based construction activities for your section or packages of work. Your duties include:

    • Safe and successful delivery of the construction on site
    • Short-term programming of works
    • Ensuring company health and safety standards are achieved and enforced
    • Review of method statements and risk assessments
    • Site logistics and quality control
    • Ensuring correct permits are in place for works
    • Implementation of inspection and test plans
    • Clerks of works liaison and coordination meetings
    • Reporting on progress against programmes
    • Issue resolution and snagging through to handover

    The main works will run through into late 2026 with full turnkey construction and fit out of all areas throughout.

    This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading main contractor on a major project.

    About the Company/Client/Project

    The role is with a leading national main contractor with a proven track record in the successful delivery of projects ranging from £50m to £350m across various sectors including commercial, defence, aviation, etc.

    The company has an excellent reputation for training, development, and the opportunity for progression within the business. This results in a low turnover of staff and long-term career employees in key management and director positions.

    Requirements

    To be successful, you must be highly motivated and proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management and communication skills.

    You should have a proven track record of 2-5 years of working for and developing within a top twenty main contractor.

    A degree-level education or similar NVQ level is required, along with relevant certificates and qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid.

    You should be forward thinking and resourceful, possessing the ability to plan ahead, identify and resolve issues, work well within a team, see the big picture, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
