As a Technical Trainer at Mowi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our employees are equipped with the necessary food safety and quality knowledge and skills to excel in their roles within our food manufacturing plant.

Working in conjunction with the Factory Training Manager and Site Technical & Compliance Manager to ensure that the training matrix is maintained as a working live document.

You will design, develop and deliver training programmes tailored to various technical aspects of our operations, focusing on food safety, quality and authenticity, production processes and techniques and equipment operation.


Responsibilities
1.
Training Programme Development

  • Design engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and interactive modules.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest advancements in technology and best practices.
2.
Training Delivery

  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at various levels, including operatives, team leaders and various management.
  • Utilize a variety of training methods, such as classroom instruction, onthejob training, and simulation exercises, to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Adapt training delivery methods to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
3.
Technical Expertise

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements relevant to food production operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to employees as needed, both during training sessions and in their daytoday activities.

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and assess employee knowledge retention.
  • Collect feedback from trainees to identify areas for improvement and make adjustments to training content and delivery methods accordingly.
5.
Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and certifications.
  • Generate regular reports on training metrics, such as completion rates, performance outcomes, and training effectiveness indicators.
  • Communicate training outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including management teams and human resources departments.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of training programmes.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation within the training function.
  • Actively seek feedback from trainees and incorporate suggestions for improvement into future training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food production or similar, preferably in a technical or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and other training technology platforms.
  • Certification as a trainer or educator is a plus.
