Assisting the Credit Control Manager in leading a Credit Team who are responsible for a portfolio of credit accounts in the plumbing & heating wholesale industry, ranging from sole traders to national companies; with a view to maximising cash flow whilst maintaining an excellent relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.

• Assisting the Credit Control Manager in managing the cash collection operation
• Ensuring the daytoday operations and administration in the office run smoothly
• Adhoc continuous improvement projects
• Accurate and prompt allocation of various forms of customer payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Prompt management and resolution of invoice queries internally and externally
• Escalating debts for debt litigation
• Manage approved payment plans through to completion

• Five years credit control experience essential with at least two years in a senior credit control role desired
• Ability to make decisions using good judgement both quickly and effectively
• Excellent time management and very well organised
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive and passionate approach to credit control who is also able to 'look at the bigger picture'
• A keen problem solver
• Flexible and adaptable
• Competent working with the Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team is essential
• Capable of building and enhancing relationships at all levels including with customers, branch staff, senior managers and colleagues
• Confident telephone communication
• Ability to manage conflict in a professional manner
• Ability to manage own workload effectively, accurately and efficiently
