The Senior Coordinator, Alumni Entrepreneurship Ecosystem will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the alumni ecosystem, which includes the Ashesi Venture Incubator (AVI) and AVI-X programs, tailored to support early-stage and post-revenue alumni businesses in their growth and scaling efforts.


You will be responsible for enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, by facilitating strategic partnerships, establishing investor pipelines, and cultivating a robust network of industry experts, mentors, and advisors to support the success of alumni businesses.

A strategic thinker with relevant experience in entrepreneurship ecosystem development, program management, and stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities:


Program Management:


  • Lead the endtoend management of the alumni ecosystem, including planning, implementation, and assessment of program outcomes.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to entrepreneurs, addressing specific challenges, and helping them navigate their entrepreneurial journey.
  • Coordinate and facilitate a range of events, including fireside chats, demo days, workshops, and industry displays to foster meaningful connections within the entrepreneurial community.
  • Organize and coordinate investor meetings, pitch events, and networking opportunities during these events to actively generate investment leads for alumni ventures.
  • Proactive in seeking and exploring strategic partnerships with investment funds, organizations, and platforms to expand funding options for incubated ventures.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among participants, encouraging peertopeer learning, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities.
  • Drive the promotion of entrepreneurship programs offered by the Ashesi Entrepreneurship Centre, to attract a diverse pool of innovative alumni businesses.

Budget Management and Resource Allocation:


  • Implement robust financial tracking systems to monitor expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile financial statements, resolve discrepancies, and provide required financial documentation.
  • Generate budget proposals and funding requests, providing detailed justifications and cost projections to support resource allocation decisions.
  • Present financial reports and proposals to the Assistant Director and other stakeholders, highlighting key financial insights, risks, and opportunities.

Impact Assessment & Reporting:


  • Design assessment tools, surveys, and data collection methods to gather relevant data and insights for program evaluation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that highlight insight, outcomes, and impact of programs and initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Employ datadriven insights to support evidencebased decisionmaking and strategic planning.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field; Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • At least of 3 years experience supporting innovation projects, startups and/or incubators in the ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in financial and project management with knowledge of one or more project management tools,
  • Demonstrate experience in managing diverse stakeholders, building networks, and fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Familiarity with the African entrepreneurial landscape, market trends, and investor dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Experience in entrepreneurship is desirable.
