Description

CFU Middle Office provides specialist anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing, sanctions, financial crime checks, and other general compliance and regulatory support to the frontline business units of the Bank.

As an Associate - Customer Due Diligence, you will be responsible for providing specialist support to a number of departments within the Bank in the above mentioned areas.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position.


Key responsibilities

  • Meet the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and other regulatory requirements
  • Support with assessing and onboarding of new clients into the Bank
  • Complete periodic reviews and event driven (trigger reviews) reviews of the existing clients
  • Conduct PEP, sanction and negative news searches
  • Investigate client ownership structures to determine the Ultimate Beneficial Owners
  • Undertake the assessment of client MiFID classifications
  • Keep accurate records and Management Information on clients
  • Establish a professional and mutually beneficial working relationship with the frontline to enhance clients' experience
  • Complete customer files to agreed standards and to the Bank's CDD policies and procedures
  • Ensure that tasks are completed in a timely fashion and as efficiently as possible

Requirements:


  • Degree educated in Finance, Business or other equivalent
  • Demonstrated AML/KYC/CDD experience in either client onboarding, periodic reviews, remediation projects including audit
  • Good technical understanding of the current UK and international KYC/AML rules and regulations
  • Understanding of JMLSG Guidance on KYC/KYB
  • Understanding of Money Laundering regulations
  • Experience in using different screening tools and platforms
  • Good critical thinking and investigative skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player who is able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
