Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our purchasing team.

The Junior Buyer will be responsible for assisting in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential for our operations.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the food service industry to contribute to our company's success and grow within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Senior Buyers in identifying suppliers, researching products, and obtaining quotes.
Coordinate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Monitor inventory levels and track order status to prevent stockouts and minimise excess inventory.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the sales and warehouse teams, to address supply chain issues and optimise procurement processes.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product offerings.
Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining supplier relationships.
Support in resolving any discrepancies or issues with orders, invoices, or deliveries.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical sourcing practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management is preferred but not required.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Enthusiasm for the food service industry and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
