Permanent x 1 and Fixed Term / Secondment (2 years) x 1 Hours of work: 36 hours per week Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline.

The Post Health Improvement Delivery Specialist Be part of a dynamic, innovative team working towards improving the health and wellbeing of Brent residents.

The postholder will work on a range of programme areas that are key to delivering the public health programme priorities to promote health and wellbeing and to reduce health inequalities.


The post holder will have a focus on increasing participation in physical activity for non-active residents within the borough to support in improving health and wellbeing.

This will involve working with a range of partners and residents in order to meet their needs. The postholder will also work on delivering projects around healthy eating and accessibility to healthy, sustainable, and affordable food. The Person Are you passionate about supporting local communities?

Do you have experience of working in public health or similar and working with the community? Do you have knowledge and experience in health improvement, particularly physical activity and food systems? Do you have knowledge and experience of how physical activity and healthy eating can help improve health and wellbeing? Do you have experience in planning, coordinating and delivering activity sessions?

You need to have good communication skills.

Can you work well on your own initiative and as part of a team? You also need to be proficient in use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
