At Apollo the Property team operate a very flat structure.

This role will be assisting the Head of Property, the Class Leader of D&F and the underwriting team in delivering on their 2024 goals.

There is an abundance of work to get involved in with a growing plan, as result the role offers fantastic exposure, with a great opportunity to learn and develop.

This is a fixed term contract for maternity leave cover.


What you'll do:


  • Supporting the Underwriters within the team with administrative duties
  • Manage Underwriting Team mailbox
  • Data entry into underwriting models
  • Oversight of timely and efficient processing of data for risk capture and endorsements
  • Proactively and collaboratively work with IT to test enhancements/scheduled updates to systems
  • Undertaking credit control activities to identify and locate outstanding premiums
  • Prioritise month end activities to ensure premium and actuarial metrics are entered accurately
  • Liaise with Xchanging (DXC) and brokers on various signing issues
  • Liaise with brokers for outstanding underwriting information
  • Oversight of Underwriting peer review process to facilitate completion of pre and post bind tasks
  • Regular reporting tasks and collating MI data
  • Communicating with underwriters, brokers and other parties to address and resolve operational issues that may arise
  • Attending underwriting meetings taking minutes as required and managing team actions
  • Data entry into exposure aggregation tools
  • Attending broker/client meetings as required

What we are looking for:


  • A good level of numeracy and analytical skills, ideally with a degree
  • Articulate and personable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative manner
  • Good time management, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work
  • Computer literate including MS Office
  • A 'can do' attitude illustrating confidence and willingness to deal with problems or new tasks.
  • Experience gained in similar roles would be desirable but not essential
