Overview:
We are seeking a professional Receptionist to join our team in our Cambridge site.
As the first point of contact for our organization, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting visitors to the facility warmly, offering them help immediately and ensuring a positive visitor experience throughout their visit
- Signing in visitors and supplying them visitor's badges
- Setting up meeting facilities
- Assisting with scheduling appointments and meeting times
- Coordinating access to our demonstration laboratory and assist with any admin support necessary to organise successful client visits
- Making and providing refreshments for client meetings and visitors
- Assist with booking meeting rooms and hot desks
- Arranging for catering for meetings and daily office use, including keeping the kitchen areas stocked with tea, coffee, milk and fruit
- Answering phones, screening and directing incoming calls to office staff members
- General administrative duties; undertaking photocopying, binding, scanning, printing and sorting documents
- Sorting, scanning and distribution of incoming and outgoing post
- Cleaning, organising, and maintaining the reception area
- Answering questions about office hours and who is in the office at any given time
- Representing the business with a positive attitude and professional appearance
Experience:
- Previous experience in a receptionist/administration role preferable but not required, full training will be given
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Confidence in dealing with clients, colleagues and customers
- IT literate and confident working with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively within a team and provide support to all departments in the office when required
- Selfmotivated and resourceful, with initiative and a positive 'cando' attitude.
- Ability to respond flexibly to shifts in priorities in response to arising needs.
