Description

Are you currently working as a wood machinist, machine operator, cnc machine operator, carpenter, shop fitter, woodwork apprentice, construction, roofer, joiner, fencing or other similar practical role?

Our job at Tuplin involves:

Using automatic saws to cut softwood and plywood ready for case manufacturing
Following information from cutting sheets to programme saws (training given)
Ensuring the correct stock of wood products are in the warehouse saws area ready for use.
Assisting with timber stock checks
In time, assisting with case manufacturing using power saws, nail guns, drills and other hand tools
Forklift (experience preferred but training available)

- working to high standards of productivity, quality and health & safety
- a physical job involving heavy lifting and handling of timber and plywood

Salary is according to skills and experience. Paid overtime is available at busy times.

We provide the all the usual benefits including training, company uniform, PPE equipment, toolbox talks (Health and Safety is very important to us) as well as social events when possible to do so.

THE COMPANY

Tuplin specialises in manufacturing made to measure wooden packing cases and arranging full export packing services to transport valuable goods across the world.

We have major customers across all sectors including medical and scientific, aerospace, industrial and fine art.

Salary:
£11.00-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Overtime
