Description

About Faculty:

Faculty transforms organisational performance through safe, impactful and human-led AI.

We are Europe's leading applied AI company, and saw its potential a decade ago - long before the current hype cycle.

We founded in 2014 with our Fellowship programme, training academics to become commercial data scientists.

Today, we provide over 300 global customers with industry-leading software, and bespoke AI consultancy for retail, healthcare, energy, and governmental organisations, as well as our award winning Fellowship.

Our expertise and safety credentials are such that OpenAI asked us to be their first technical partner, helping customers deploy cutting-edge generative AI safely.

Our high-impact work has saved lives through forecasting NHS demand during covid, produced green energy by routing boats towards the wind, slashed marketing spend by predicting customer spending habits, and kept children safe online.

AI is an epoch-defining technology. We want people to join us who can help our customers reap its enormous benefits safely.

Who are we?:

We are People Operations, and we make up a pillar of a growing People Team. We play a key strategic function within the company.

We're constantly looking to help elevate our people capability across the organisation and push the frontier of what 'HR' means.

Our wider team is split into pillars; People Operations (POPS), People Architecture, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Workplace.

This role will work closely with the wider People team - particularly People Architecture and Talent Acquisition, with the mission being to elevate our 'people experience'.

This role will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence, and maintaining high standards.

Our mission is to maximise our employee experience. Ultimately, we want our people to feel fulfilled and accomplished at work.

The interactions they have with the people team have an enormous impact on this; what we stand for, how we care for people and the bigger picture in how we intend to scale the business.

We want to build trust and respect within Faculty. This role is fundamental to hitting this brief.

We want people to feel they are in safe hands. We are experts in our field and we instil this confidence in every people-team interaction. Solid 'customer care' comes as second nature.

We are in the detail and operate a well oiled machine - and you are responsible for keeping things running.

At Faculty, your attitude and behaviour are just as important as your technical skills. We look for individuals who can support our values, foster our culture and deliver for our organisation.

What do we need from you?:

  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is the name of the game. This is a given in everything you do and you set the standard within the team. As a data company, data accuracy is key to our success.
-
Stakeholder management: You understand the importance of relationship building. You value working well as a team and you are a collaborative team player. You are comfortable setting boundaries to make sure you have all you need to complete tasks effectively (deadlines, full details, what does good look like?)
-
Communication: Closely linked, your natural inclination to communicate.

We are a close knit team, so this is crucial:
what do you need, updates on progress, any blockers and pitching new ideas.

You are able to articulate issues and solutions easily, communicate clearly and you are an excellent verbal and written communicator.

-
Problem solving: Intuition and initiative to problem solve come naturally to you. We are an established but _growing_ team. It's not uncommon to have to deviate from standard processes to maintain a great employee experience.
-
Proactive: You don't wait to be told when something needs fixing or updating. You take pride in being on top of things. You are keen to get involved and volunteer support within the team (being careful of boundary setting and not taking on too much / bowing to external pressures)
-
Organised: You are on top of your game. You are confident in prioritising work to optimise your time.
-
Front of house: The expectation isn't that you hold the answer to everything, but you are confident you can find it, and find it quickly. We expect you to treat our employees like your customer, and prioritise their experience, instilling trust and confidence in the process.
-
Big thinking: What is the implication of what I do? Who does it affect? Where will this take us to in 12 months time? We are still scaling, so actions now must also consider where we'll be when the business is bigger. So it's crucial you're comfortable thinking beyond the periphery of what you do, and you want to impact the bigger picture for the better.
-
Brand ambassador: You appreciate the responsibility that comes with representing the people team and Faculty. You are clear on the mission of the
