DevOps Engineer (Automation)

Day Rate:
Excellent Day Rate

IR35 Status:
Inside IR35

Contract Length:
Initial 6-months (expected to extend multiple times)

Hybrid Model:2 days per week in Central London, 3 days remote

About the Client and the Role:

My client, a prestigious and globally renowned name in financial services is seeking a
DevOps Engineer with extensive hands-on experience of
Automation and
CI/CD pipelines, and strong scripting abilities using
PowerShell, Bash & Python for deployment purposes
.

You'll often be working with the Cyber Security Team delivering security capabilities, some knowledge of Cyber Security will be highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities:

-
Automate parts of the development delivery process using
scriptsand other appropriate tools

Implement and update
CI/CD pipelines:
Scripting with
PowerShell, Bash, Python:
Delivering automation capabilities into
CI/CD pipelines (
Ansible &
Jenkins)
Debugging issues through pipelines, spotting anomalous behaviour and diagnosing root causes
Delivering security functions into
CI/CD Pipelines
Strong experience with
Automation and related
Automation Tools:
Strong understanding and experience of
CI/CD Pipelines:
Excellent scripting skills with
PowerShell / BASH / Python (or Ruby, Go, Groovy or equivalent)
Background in a similar DevOps / SecDevOps Engineer role
Strong experience with Build and Deployment pipeline technologies (Ansible or Atlassian Stack)

- (Desirable) Previous experience in financial / banking environments
- (Highly Desirable) Experience of Cyber Security / DevSecOps / SecDevOps
