We currently have an opportunity for a permanent role as a Flexible Operator in our Warehouse team._
The primary role of this position is as a member of the Warehouse team on shift reporting to the Shift Team Leader, but in times of Team Leader absence (holiday, sickness, or meetings) you will assumes the role of Shift Team Leader for that duration and all the responsibilities therein, for full duties of the Team Leader._
As the logistic activities are closely intertwined with several other internal activities within Alpro, you will have frequent contacts with several departments such as, for instance, Logistics, Quality, Production, IT, Health & Safety, HR, etc and externally with the Logistics Service Providers._

Your work areas include different chambers of the Warehouse located in one main location; among which Ambient, Chilled, Ingredients, Packaging, Finished Products, Goods-In, and the Unloading Bays, all form a part. The activities of the role are subdivided in several work areas and the team rotate across these. As chilled products may be involved, the job holder must at all times respect the chill chain._
This is a 24/7 environment and so your shift pattern would be a 4 on 4 off, 2 x 12hour days followed by 2 x 12hour nights shift pattern._
During your work, you will make extensive use of various means of transport such as manual and electric pallet trucks, forklift trucks, reach trucks, VNA trucks and scissor lifts._

About you

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative, have strong communication skills, ability to prioritise, experience of solving problems and be able to work nights and weekends._
The following qualifications/skills are required:_

- _Experience in handling goods and stock control_
- _PC experience, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ideally SAP_
- _RF system use and understanding_
- _Have current forklift experience, ideally with a valid forklift license_
- _Demonstrate extensive health & safety awareness and an interest in people management_
- _Have good communication skills & be an active team player_
- _Eyesight levels that meet the requirements for the FLT licence and not have a fear of heights_

Desirable_

- _Previous supervisory experience_
- _Experience working in a food manufacturing environment_
- _IOSH Managing Safely_
- _Higher education qualifications or equivalent_

You will become familiar with internal processes and structures such as DaMaWay, MES and using SQCDME Key Performance Indicators as a measure of success._
