Administrator (Performing Arts Examinations)


Reporting to:
PRSSV Director


Salary:
£21,060 (part-time 3 days a week)


Job Type:
This role will be for an immediate start and is a 12-month fixed term contract

Probationary period: 4 weeks


Location:
At our offices in Southall, West London, situated less than a five-minute walk from
Southall Station (Elizabeth Line)


PRSSV is a leading examination board which has been providing accredited graded qualifications for over 30 years that support the learning of World Music and Dance both nationally and internationally.

We administer and award over one thousand examinations every year in both education and community settings. We offer a combination of both online and in-person examinations.


THE ROLE
The main purpose of this role is to administer all exam related processes and assessments.

The role involves supporting the development and implementation of the examinations schedule and working with a range of colleagues to deliver a secure, rigorous and fair exams process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all examination processes, procedures and relevant policies are followed by all parties.
  • Support the regular monitoring of procedures and policies and update as required.
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with all our exam delivery partners, invigilators and key stakeholders.
  • Create agendas, attend meetings, participate in discussions where appropriate, and ensure that followup actions are undertaken.
  • Prepare, pack and monitor safe delivery of exams materials and documentation and the secure storage of confidential materials.
  • Provide proof reading support and prepare exam documentation.
Essential skills

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High level of interpersonal and communications skills.
  • High level of IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Strong team working skills, attention to detail, ability to solve problems and resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Able to take own initiative, to prioritise workload and liaise with individuals at all levels.
Desirable skills

  • Conversational ability in a South Asian language
  • An interest in World Music and/or Dance
