Description
This role is to support the Director of Law and Governance/Monitoring Officer

Will need to be able to attend Office when required.


Job Overview
Providing an efficient and confidential personal assistant service to senior members of the Corporate Management Board and external consultants. To ensure that BCP runs effectively and efficiently and complies with governance at the most senior level. To deputise for the Higher and Senior Executive Officer during periods of absence.


To have a strong grasp of the Council's strategic priorities and understanding of the concerns of the Chief Executive's directorate.


Key Responsibilities

  • To have an excellent proven knowledge of the full range of MS Office packages including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
  • Arrange and organise Director's appointments and diary system, including scheduling and the tracking of actions.
  • Arrange and service meetings, including venue booking, agenda preparation, collation and preparation of supporting papers and minute taking of accurate and clear notes as well as coordination of follow up actions.
  • Reporting Process.

Specific Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of providing first class secretariat support to senior management in a fastpaced environment
  • Be able to assimilate large amounts of information at pace with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and at pace with senior leaders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communicates in a planned, controlled and appropriate manner with all stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexibly in an environment with changing priorities
  • Minute taking
