TM Scotland Grangemouth & Falkirk are very excited to be working with our amazing, long term and well known client in Larbert to assist with the recruitment for a Hygiene Operative to extend their workforce while they continue to generate success and grow.


Our client is a family business which began in Tillicoultry in the late 1990's, they manufacture and sell traditional Scottish confectionary, they initially started as a home based business supplying to independent retailers and local shops however due to their amazing success their products can be found in supermarkets all around the world.


The role as a Hygiene Operative will involve working in a food production facility maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production facility.


Main duties of the role include:

  • Sanitising equipment, ensuring that all machinery and equipment used in the production process are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised to prevent contamination of the products
  • Cleaning workspaces, regularly cleaning production areas, including floors, walls and surfaces
  • Adhering to strict food safety regulations to prevent cross contamination and ensure product quality
  • Properly disposing of waste materials generated during the production process in line with company policies and environmental regulations

What do you need to be considered for the Factory Operative position:

  • Previous experience as a hygiene operative in a food industry setting is preferred but not required
  • Basic Food Safety Regulation knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in a hygiene operative role
  • Be able to follow instructions accurately
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team
