We recognise that our colleagues are our most valuable resource, we are proud of the excellent levels of service our Trust provides to our service users and the dedication and conscientiousness of our colleagues.

With over 10,000 colleagues working for our Trust in a very wide rangeof services, we aim to provide a supportive, inclusive environment in which our colleagues can thrive.

As our planned merger with Yeovil District Hospital (YDH) completes in early 2023 we will be the sole provider for services in most of Somerset.

As part of this merger we are updating our delivery and support structures and we are seeking a senior clinical leader to work in the leadership triumvirate covering the medical services group.

These posts are suitable for an inspiring, clinically credible, experienced registered nurse, midwife or AHP leader who leads by example and empowers others to deliver excellence.

This post exists to deliver joined up person centred care by working in partnership with the Associate Medical Director and Service Director to create an environment, processes, and ways of working which ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and effective care across the medical service group.

In conjunction with theAssociate Medical Director, and the Deputy Associate Director of Patient Care, the post holder will lead on professional standards, governance, clinical workforce planning, quality, patient safety, service and quality improvement and integration of team across the county.

The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of core patient and colleague standards across a large, complex countywide directorate, ensuring that a just culture and patient quality and safety are at the heart of our service group.

The post holder will be expected to work across both acute sites (YDH andMusgrove Park Hospital (MPH) and in community areas where the service groups are responsible for services, therefore the ability to travel will be essential.

Either YDH or MPH will be considered as core base for this post with travel expenses to cover work based travel across the county.
