The role

Reporting into the Head of Open Actuarial Reporting and Change you will lead an established team in the onboarding of new Equity Release Mortgages and Bulk Purchase Annuities into actuarial reporting processes, leveraging tactical and strategic modelling solutions to enable initial recognition and long-term efficient and robust reporting.

Under your leadership the team will deliver modelling and SME review of results for new business in support of regulatory reporting, provide financial impacts of new business transactions into Monthly MI processes and support the alignment of actuarial models and reporting processes for new features arising from new business transactions.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and technical colleagues across the Retirement Solutions Value Centre and the Finance Function to identify and deliver enhancements to the modelling and reporting capabilities of the ERM and BPA and will support the delivery of management actions and strategic initiatives.

Leading a well established and highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to embed new strategic modelling and reporting capabilities and to optimise how the team operates as those capabilities become established.

What are we looking for?

You will ideally have a proven track record of driving successful and efficient actuarial change delivery across a range of different types of project, with direct exposure to actuarial modelling and data systems, reporting processes and methodologies.

Possessing significant experience in the actuarial reporting or financial management of Equity Release Mortgages or Annuity and Bulk Purchase Annuity business, you will have had direct exposure to key regulatory reporting metrics (SII and IFRS17).

Experience leading the delivery of regulatory reporting and/or management information to tight timescales and a strong focus on continuous improvement and driving quality outcomes and efficient operations is highly desirable in the role.

A problem solver, you will thrive on finding efficient solutions to complex situations, involving technical competencies and effective people leadership.

You will also have significant experience influencing senior stakeholders across different areas of a life insurance business, with an ability to deliver complex messaging directly.

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

If your experience looks different from what we've advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you.
