Job Summary:

aPriori is looking for an Associate Cost Modeler to develop and support mechanistic process models for a constantly growing list of manufacturing processes that are integrated into aPriori's software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Research and develop knowledge in various manufacturing processes and distil manufacturing and sustainability insights.
Use of the company's process modeling platform to develop simulation models that will estimate part manufacture, tooling costs, and emissions.
Research, design, and build models to simulate the manufacturing activities of various manufacturing processes.
Review and enhance existing mechanistic models

Required Skills/Abilities:

Understand manufacturing processes and be able to decouple the ideas and concepts which drive the major components of cost and emissions.
Understand how design factors and the manufacturing process impact the cycle time, material utilization, tooling, and other drivers for manufacturing processes.
Ability to assemble large varieties of information about manufacturing processes (some of which may be new to the individual) together into a coherent mechanistic model.
Exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes is a plus.
Programming or other experience in automating calculation/decision support or mathematical modeling experience (e.g. Spreadsheets, Statistical Analysis Packages, etc.)
Proven critical thinker with selfmotivation
Be comfortable working with 3D CAD systems.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical, Automotive, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
