Description
A small merchant bank in West London are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team in London.

The Management Accountant will be a key ambassador for the Finance team so a positive attitude and entrepreneurial approach is key.

The role also gives scope to be involved in higher level tasks and commercial operations, as deemed suitable and as required.

The higher end of the role will involve assisting the FD on ad hoc tasks and aiding on various financial and commercial support.


Responsibilities:


  • Meet regularly with allocated business heads and departments to keep abreast of activities and ensure all finance related matters are in hand
  • Support senior management with insightful analysis to help identify efficiencies and improved ways of working to drive growth
  • Analysis of performance against forecasts, budgets and mediumterm plans
  • Month end reporting and reconciliations
  • Liaise with statutory accountant in preparation of the year end accounts and audit
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations (including intercompany loans)
  • Manage one direct report
  • Company Accountant
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met without exception
  • Reviewing and preparing consolidated monthly board packs
  • Support the FD with FCA Gabriel submissions
  • Support senior management with any requests for additional analysis
Education & Qualifications

You will have:

  • Commercially minded with strong technical knowledge
  • Have the ability to build successful longterm relationships (up to Director level) and be considered as a trusted 'finance partner'.
  • Confident working within management teams on complex issues.
  • Ability to influence thinking and decisions effectively

The salary for the role pays £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits
The role requires 5 days a week in the office
